- 3/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 cup green pepper, finely chopped
- 1 - 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 3 - 16 oz. cans Joan of Arc chili beans
- 1 - 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 - 2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder*
- 1 tsp. cayenne pepper*
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
Directions

1Brown meat in a large skillet. Transfer to a 4 quart slow cooker. Stir in the rest of the ingredients; mix well. Cover and cook at low setting for 8 - 10 hours or on high for 5 hours.
