Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. boiling water

Directions

    Combine dry ingredients in large mixer bowl.

    Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla.
  3. 3
    Beat 2 minutes at medium speed, stirring in boiling water (batter will be thin).

    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.

    Cool.

    Frost with Butter Cream Frosting or leave plain.
