Emma's mac'n'cheese

Ingredients
- 6 tbsp butter/margarine
- 6 tbsp regular flour
- 800 ml milk
- 1000 grams macaroni
- 1 Roughly 200-300g of grated cheese. I used gouda
- 2 packs of melting cheese. I use Kraft singles with cheddar. There are 10 slices/pack.
- 1 Salt
- 1 Peppar
- 1 A dash of turmeric for colour (optional)
Directions

1Melt your butter/margarine in a saucepan.

2Once it has melted, take it off the heat and add your flour.

3Whisk it gently into a kind of thickening paste.

4It should NOT be like a dough.

5If it is, add some more butter or margarine until you have a smooth and sticky paste.

6Add the milk, and put your saucepan back onto the heat.

7Whisk continually or it will burn.

8Do this until it thickens.

9Lower the heat significantly and add your melting cheese.

10If you add it all at once, it might be difficult to stir properly, so add a bit at a time.

11Once you have added all your melting cheese, add the grated cheese and stir until you have a smooth (and cheesy!)

12sauce.

13Boil your macaroni according to the instruction on the box.

14Season your sauce with salt and peppar, and some turmeric if you want for colour.

15Drain your cooked macaroni, and then add it to your cheese sauce.

16Once it is stirred in completely, serve immediately.
