  • 4 Tbsp. oil
  • 4 Tbsp. mild chili powder
  • 8 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. garlic
  • oregano to taste
  • cumin to taste
  • 6 c. chicken broth (fresh, canned or bouillon cubes in water)

Directions

    Melt oil in large saucepan.

    Add chili powder, flour, garlic salt, oregano and cumin; stir until well blended.

    Gradually stir in 6 cups hot chicken broth and stir to boil; reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
