  • 2 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 4 c. scalded milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. raisins

Directions

    Soak crumbs in milk; beat eggs.

    Add sugar, salt, nutmeg, vanilla and raisins.

    Mix with bread mixture.

    Pour into greased baking dish.

    Set in pan of hot water and bake for 1 hour in 350° oven.

    Knife inserted must come out clean.
