- 5 c. flour
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Heat milk and water to 120° and add yeast; set aside.

2In large bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups of the flour and all other dry ingredients.

3Add milk and water; mix well with fork or spoon. Add the other 2 1/2 cups flour and mix.

4Spoon into two 8 x 4 x 2-inch loaf pans which have been greased and dusted with corn meal.

5Sprinkle corn meal on top.

6Raise for 45 minutes.

7Bake at 400° for 25 minutes.

8Remove from oven.

9Remove from pans and let cool.

10Slice, toast and enjoy.
