- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. bread flour
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 4 1/2 Tbsp. chilled unsalted oleo, cut in pieces
- 1 c. whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 c. raisins or currants
Directions

1Butter and flour a cookie sheet.

2Mix first 5 ingredients in large bowl.

3Add oleo and cut in until mixture resembles fine meal.

4Add milk and eggs, then raisins.

5Mix dough thoroughly. Turn dough on lightly floured surface, roll in flour a couple of times.

6Press dough into 1-inch thick round; with cookie cutter (3-inch), cut scones and place on sheet.

7Brush on glaze.
