- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 2 1/4 c. bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomatoes
Directions

1In 1 1/2-quart saucepan, melt margarine and saute onion until tender.

2Stir in bread crumbs, sugar, salt and pepper.

3Arrange a layer of tomatoes in 1 1/2-quart casserole.

4Top with onion and bread crumbs.

5Repeat layers until all is used, ending with crumbs. Bake, uncovered, in preheated oven at 375° for 35 minutes.
