Extra Flaky, Never Fail Pie Crust

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup Crisco vegetable shortening
- 4 to 5 tbsp. water
Directions

1Sift and measure flour.

2Sift again with salt.

4Don't skip either sifting.)

5Cut in Crisco until mixture resembles coarse meal.

6Add water lightly, stirring with fork.

7Add only enough water to make the dough cling together when pressed lightly.

8Divide dough in half.

9Roll with light strokes from center to outside edges (to make a circle) on lightly floured cloth or board.

10Fit into pan by folding pastry and lowering it into pan.

11Cut off edges, leaving a 1/2 inch overhang.

12Turn under.

13Pierce all over with fork.

14Bake in hot oven at 450F for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown.

15Makes two ( 9-inch) shells or one two-crust pie.
