  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 stick or 1/2 c. real butter
  • 2 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 tsp. brandy extract
  • 1 tsp. rum extract
  • 1 tsp. lemon or black walnut extract
  • 1 stick oleo

Directions

    Combine shortening, butter, oleo and sugar until fluffy. Alternately add milk, eggs and flour, beating well after each addition.

    Bake for 2 hours in greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.

    Start in cold oven, then turn to 325°.
