- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1First, dissolve 1 tablespoon cornstarch in 2 tablespoons cold water in small saucepan.

2Add 1/2 cup boiling water and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.

3Remove from heat; let cool.

4Beat egg whites until stiff.

5Add sugar 1 tablespoon at a time, beating well after each.

6Add salt, vanilla and cornstarch mixture.

7Spread over pie, being sure to seal the edge.

8Bake at about 350° for about 15 minutes.
