- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. molasses
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 3/4 Tbsp. ginger
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Cream sugar and Crisco in a bowl.

2Add beaten eggs, milk and molasses.

3Sift flour, soda, ginger and cinnamon into mixture and beat well.

4Last, if desired, add raisins and nuts.

5Bake in shallow loaf type greased pan at 350° for about 45 minutes.
