- 1 1/2 lb. boneless stew meat
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 2 1/4 c. water
- 3 medium onions, sliced
- 4 medium potatoes, cut in cubes
- 5 medium carrots, quartered
- 1 1/2 c. frozen peas
Directions

1Cut beef into 1 1/2-inch cubes.

2Combine flour, salt and pepper.

3Coat beef cubes with mixture.

4Brown meat thoroughly in hot oil in a large heavy skillet or Dutch oven.

5Sprinkle remaining seasoned flour over meat.

6Stir well.

7Add water and cover.

8Simmer for 2 to 3 hours, until meat is tender.

9Add onions, potatoes and carrots; simmer, covered, for 15 minutes. Add peas and simmer until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
