- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. Crisco shortening
- 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1Heat oven to 425°.

2Combine flour, baking powder and salt in large bowl.

3Cut in Crisco using pastry blender (or 2 knives) to form coarse crumbs.

4Add milk.

5Mix with fork until particles are moistened and cling together.

6Form dough into ball.
-
7Transfer dough to lightly floured surface.
-
8Knead gently 8 to 10 times. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness.

9Cut with floured 2-inch round cutter.

10Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

11Bake at 425° for 12 to 14 minutes.

12Yield:
-
1312 to 16 biscuits.
