- 1 c. warm water
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 egg
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Add to other ingredients and mix until well blended.

3Cover and let rise 45 minutes.

4Punch down and dip by spoonfuls into greased muffin pans.

5Let rise again and then bake at 400° for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 10 to 12 rolls.
