Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 pkg. onion soup mix or diced onions or onion powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 c. quick cooking oats
  • 1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 can Franco-American beef gravy

Directions

    Squish all ingredients together except butter.

    Form nice, thick patties.

    Saute in butter on low-to-medium heat until brown on the outside.

    Simmer on low about 30 minutes.

    Add gravy and serve with mashed potatoes or on burger buns.
