Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 2/3 c. (5 1/3 fl. oz. can) evaporated milk
  • 1 (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate bits
  • 1 (7 oz.) jar Kraft marshmallow cream
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (pecans)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Combine sugar, margarine and milk in heavy 2 1/2-quart saucepan.

    Bring to full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Continue boiling 5 minutes over medium heat or until candy thermometer reaches 234° or a soft ball forms in cold water, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.

    Remove from heat; stir in chocolate bits until melted.

    Add marshmallow cream, nuts and vanilla.

    Beat until well blended.

    Pour into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.

    Cool at room temperature.

    Cut into squares.
