- 4 c. (1-inch thick) celery slices
- 1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained
- 1 can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)

- 1/4 c. diced pimiento (optional)
- 1/2 c. soft breadcrumbs
- 1/4 c. toasted slivered almonds
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter
Directions

1Cook the celery in a small amount of boiling water until crisp (about 8 minutes); drain.

2Mix with the water chestnuts, soup and diced pimiento.

3Place in a 1-quart casserole.

4Top with the soft breadcrumbs, tossed with the slivered almonds and melted butter. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
