  • 1 large bunch of celery--4 cups, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 can (5 oz) sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 can (10 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 cup pimentos, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • butter

Directions

    Cook celery in salted boiling water for 8 minutes. Drain. In 1 quart casserole dish, mix celery, water chestnuts, soup and pimentos. Brown almonds in butter. Add bread crumbs to almonds and sprinkle on top of casserole for the last 10 minutes of cooking. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
