  • 4 c. celery, sliced
  • 5 oz. can water chestnuts, drained and then sliced
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 c. pimiento, diced
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. toasted almonds, slivered
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted

Directions

    Cook celery in small amount of boiling salted water until crisp done (about 8 minutes).

    Drain and mix with next 3 ingredients in a 1-quart casserole dish.

    Toss the bread crumbs, almonds and butter and sprinkle over casserole.

    Bake in 350° oven until bubbly.
