  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. cocoa in 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. soda, mix with 1 c. milk
  • 2 1/4 c. flour, mix with dash of salt

Directions

    Mix sugar and margarine well.

    Add egg, then mixed cocoa and soda.

    Add flour and beat well.

    Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan or cupcake shells at 350°.

    Bake cake 40 minutes and cupcakes 35 minutes. Frost with any frosting.
