Ingredients
- 2 pkgs. active dry yeast
- 2 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/4 c. butter, melted (can use 1/3 c. oil instead)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 6 to 6 1/2 c. all purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp. melted butter
Directions

1In a very large bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water.

2Stir in sugar and let stand for five minutes.

3Stir in egg, butter (or oil), and salt.

4Stir in as much flour as you can.

5Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface.

6Knead in as much flour as you can to make a moderately stiff dough shaped into a ball.

7Put into greased bowl.

8Cover and let rise until doubled in size.

9Punch down.

10Turn out onto lightly floured surface.

11Divide in half. Let rest ten minutes.

12Grease baking pans.

13Divide into individual rolls.

14Let rise until doubled in size.

15Brush with melted butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes.
