- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups flour, all-purpose
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Directions

1Preheat the waffle iron.

2Melt the butter over low heat in a saucepan.

4Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.

5Beat the buttermilk into the butter.

6Beat in the eggs.

7Beat the butter mixture into the flour mixture.

8Ladle enough of the batter into the waffle iron to cover 23 of its surface.

9Use a spatula to spread the batter to the edges.

10Close the lid.

11Cook until the steam stops (about 5 minutes).

12Open the lid.
-
13Use a fork to remove the waffle.

14Continue with the remaining batter.

15Serve warm waffles with fresh berries and maple syrup if needed.
