Ingredients
- 5 c. white flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cardamom
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 1/2 pkg. yeast (dry)
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 stick margarine, melted
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 egg
Directions

1Mix together in a bowl the first 4 ingredients.

2Mix together the yeast and warm water. Set aside.

3Heat margarine and milk to lukewarm.

4Melt margarine.

5Scramble 1 egg

6and add a little of the margarine/milk mixture to the egg.

7Pour the yeast into the dry ingredients, then add the rest of the liquids and stir well. I use my Kitchen Aid to knead the dough for a few minutes.

8Let the dough set with a towel over it for about 1 hour.

9Roll out into buns and let rise again about 45 minutes before baking.

10Bake at 425° for about 10 minutes.

11Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
