- 2 c. sifted flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 2/3 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. softened shortening
- 2 eggs, beaten
- about 6 Tbsp. milk
Directions

1Sift flour with baking powder and salt, then rub in the shortening.

2Beat eggs and milk together, then stir in.

3Use a bit more milk if necessary to make a rather soft yet easily handled dough.

4Turn out on a floured board and knead slightly. Roll out to 1/2-inch thick.

5Cut into a triangle with knife or cut with a round cutter.

6Place on an ungreased baking pan. Bake at 425° for about 15 minutes or until light and brown. Serve at once with butter.
