Festive Baked Ham

  • 1 c. apple cider
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (5 lb.) uncooked ham half
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar

Directions

    Combine apple cider and water in a saucepan, bring to a boil; set aside.

    Remove skin from ham.

    Place ham fat side up, on a cutting board; score fat in a diamond design and stud with cloves. Place ham in a shallow baking pan, fat side up and coat top with brown sugar.

    Bake, uncovered, at 325° about 2 hours (22 to 25 minutes per pound), basting every 30 minutes with cider mixture.
