  • 12 oz. fresh fettuccine or 8 oz. dried fettuccine or medium wide noodles
  • boiling salted water
  • 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. sliced green onions (including tops)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • 1/2 pt. whipping cream (1 c.)
  • about 1 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
