Field Mice Pie

  • 12 nice plump field mice, cooked and deboned
  • 1 qt. mixed vegetables
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 qt. potatoes, cubed
  • 1 large pinch salt

Directions

    Cook all ingredients together and place in a casserole lined with pie dough.

    Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour at 375°.

    If no field mice are available, 1 pound of pork sausage may be used. This recipe was taken from an old pioneer cookbook.
