  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 c. oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. fig preserves

Directions

    Combine dry ingredients. Add oil, beating well. Add eggs, beating well after each one. Add buttermilk and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in fig preserves and pecans. Pour into tube pan and bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
