  • 1 c. oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. fig preserves
  • 2 c. chopped pecans
  • 2/3 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda

    Mix oil and sugar.

    Gradually add eggs and preserves.

    Sift together flour and spices, soda and salt.

    Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk.
