- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. fig juice
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 qt. canned figs, drained and put through chopper
- 1 1/2 c. ground pecans
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs until smooth.

2Sift dry ingredients.

3Combine milk and fig juice.

4Add alternately to egg mix. Add vanilla and fold in figs and pecans.

5Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
