Ingredients

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. cooking oil
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. chopped fig preserves (with juice)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    Mix all dry ingredients.

    Add oil and beat well.

    Add eggs, one at a time, alternately with the milk.

    Add figs, pecans and vanilla.

    Bake in tube pan at 350° for 1 hour or until done.

    Good; nice and moist.
