  • 2/3 c. Crisco
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. flour (I used self-rising)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • cinnamon (whatever amount you like)
  • 2 c. fresh figs or substitute canned figs*
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

    *I use 1 (15 3/4 ounce) jar fig preserves and 1 (4 ounce) jar of baby food peaches (or whatever kind you had rather use).
