  • 2 lb. figs, after peeling, cut up
  • 4 c. sugar
  • 1 pt. water
  • 1 lemon

Directions

    Combine water and thinly sliced lemon; boil for 5 minutes. Add sugar and dissolve well.

    Add figs.

    Let come to a boil.

    Turn down and simmer for 45 minutes or more.
