- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. fig preserves
Directions

1Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Combine flour, baking powder and spices.

4Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, stirring just until moistened.

5Stir in fig preserves. Spoon batter into greased and floured muffin pans, filling 3/4 full.

6Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
