- 2 sticks margarine or butter or Crisco
- 1 box 4x or 10x confectioners sugar (save box)
- Red Band flour
- 7 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped fig preserves
- 1 c. toasted, chopped pecans
Directions

1Cream butter and add sugar.

2Sift flour into sugar box (without jarring, remove 2 tablespoons of flour).

3Alternate addition of flour with eggs.

4Add vanilla, fig preserves and pecans.

5Pour cake batter in greased and floured tube pan.

6Place cake in preheated oven.

7Bake 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours at 325°.
