- 7 1/2 qt. water
- 1 c. baking soda
Directions

1Sprinkle ripe figs with 1 cup baking soda, cover with 6-quarts of boiling water and let stand 15 minutes.

2Drain and wash in 2 baths of clean, cold water and drain.
