  • 1 tablespoon white syrup (Karo)

  • 12 teaspoon almond extract

  • 1 lb prune
  • 1 cup water
  • 14 cup sugar
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 lb dry curd cottage cheese
  • 12 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla

    Poppyseed filling:.

    Bring 2 cups milk to a boil.

    Stir in poppyseed.

    Let simmer 20 minutes stirring constantly.

    Add sugar, white syrup and salt.

    Let simmer 3 more minutes.

    Remove from heat and add almond extract, butter and vanilla.
