  • 1 c. laundry starch
  • 2 rounded Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. very cold water
  • 1 c. Ivory flakes
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 3 c. warm water
  • 1 tsp. glycerin (optional)
  • food coloring

Directions

    Mix laundry starch, cornstarch and cold water to a smooth paste.
  2. 2
    Add Ivory flakes and mix until smooth.

    Add the warm water and cook slowly or in double boiler until thick.
  4. 4
    Add glycerin (which makes it smoother) and beat with an egg beater.

    Divide into jars and add food coloring as desired.
