  • 1 1/2 ounces light rum
  • 1/2 teaspoom superfine sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce grenadine
  • 3 or 4 ice cubes
  • Club soda (optional)

Directions

    Combine all ingredients except the club soda in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.

    Strain into a Delmonico (also known as a Whiskey Sour) glass.

    Fill up with club soda.
