Fish Chowder

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. cusk, haddock, cod or other fish
  • 3 diced onions
  • 4 c. diced raw potatoes (about 5)
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1/2 lb. margarine or butter
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. savory (optional)
  • sprinkle of paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Cook onions and potatoes in a pan with 2 cups of water until almost cooked.

    Add fish and complete cooking.

    When fish flakes easily, add butter, salt, pepper, savory and all milks.

    Heat completely without boiling.

    Sprinkle with paprika (optional) and let set for 15 minutes.
