  • 1 can mackerel, salmon or any kind of canned fish
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 c. cracker crumbs
  • shortening or cooking oil (just enough to fry them)

Directions

    Mix fish, egg, onion and cracker crumbs in a bowl.

    Heat the shortening or oil in a skillet.

    Spoon fish mixture in skillet, flattening each spoonful to a patty, and brown on both sides.
