- 6 slices bacon
- 3/4 lb. ground beef
- 4 to 6 medium onions
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 4 to 6 medium carrots, sliced
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 (10 oz.) can tomato sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Cut slices of bacon into one-inch pieces.

2Place in bottom of skillet or Dutch oven.

3Make ground beef into four patties and place on top of bacon.

4Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

5Over this, place layers of sliced vegetables, onions, potatoes and carrots. Sprinkle each layer with salt and pepper.

6Last, layer green pepper on top.

7Place skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat and cook for 3 minutes, after bacon begins to sizzle.

8Add can of tomato sauce.

9Cover and turn heat to low and simmer 35 to 40 minutes.
