- 6 to 8 carrots, sliced lengthwise
- 3 potatoes, quartered
- 1 1/2 lb. stew meat, cubed
- 1 can tomatoes or beef broth
- 3 Tbsp. tapioca (quick cooking)
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- pepper
- Worcestershire sauce
- bay leaf
- thyme
Directions

1Mix all ingredients in Dutch oven or large casserole dish. Cover and bake as follows: 250° for 5 hours or 300° for 4 hours or 325° for 3 hours.
