  • 2 lb. beef stew meat
  • 6 medium potatoes, diced into large pieces
  • 6 carrots, diced into large pieces
  • 6 stalks celery, diced into large pieces
  • 1 green pepper, diced into large pieces
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 3 tsp. sugar
  • 3 tsp. tapioca
  • 1 large can V-8 juice

Directions

    Put first five ingredients into a large roasting pan.

    Mix next four ingredients, sprinkle on top of the meat and vegetables. Do not mix.

    Pour V-8 juice over the stew.

    Bake 5 hours at 250°.
