Ingredients
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk (do not use filled dairy blend)
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1In a heavy saucepan, cook the sugar until it caramelizes.

2Pour into a two-quart mold; swirl to cover the bottom and sides (be careful or you will get a bad burn!)

3Set aside.

4Preheat oven to 375°.

5Mix the eggs in a bowl; add condensed milk, milk and vanilla.

6Pour the mixture into the caramelized pan; cover.

7Set the pan into a larger pan in the oven; cover and pour hot water into the outer pan to reach two-thirds of the way up on the side of the mold.

8Bake 1 hour.

9Remove from the oven; let cool to room temperature.

10Refrigerate overnight.

11To serve, run a knife around the edge of the mold; invert the mold onto a plate.

12Serves eight.
