Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 cups Bread flour
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 2 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp instant yeast
  • 2 Tsp minced garlic (bought a BIG jar at Costco for less than $5)
  • 1/2 stick melted non-salted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 2-3 Tbsp milk (I use skim. Start with 2 Tbsp then add 3rd if needed

Directions

    I use my bread machine adding all of the dry ingredients during slow mix portion then quickly add milk, melted butter and eggs until combined.

    Add enough water Tbsp by Tbsp to form a dough that incorporates all of the dry ingredients and just starts to stick.

    Allow it to rise and punch down.

    Divide dough into 3-4 oz portions, cover and let it rise again.

    STRETCH, don't roll, into a circle about 1/4 inch thick.

    Brush with butter and season.

    Try salt and freshly ground pepper or grated Parmesan.

    Bake at 400 degrees until brown about 10 minutes.
