- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. melted butter or margarine
Directions

1Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cornmeal. In a separate bowl, beat eggs with a fork, then stir in milk and butter or margarine.

2Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir just to combine.

3The batter may be lumpy, but that's okay.

4Pour the batter into a 9-inch square lightly greased baking pan.

5Let rest 10 minutes.

6Bake at 425° for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7Be careful not to overbake or the bread will be dry.

8If you use a food processor, be careful not to overprocess the mixture.
