Fluffy Crescent Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. milk, scalded and cooled
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 4 c. unsifted flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in water with a little sugar.

    Add sugar, oil, soda and beaten eggs.

    Mix all ingredients well.

    Add flour and mix again.

    Cover in greased bowl and let stand overnight.

    Next morning, on floured board, divided into 3 balls.

    Roll each ball to pie crust size, 1/2 inch thick.

    Cut these into 12 wedges and roll up starting at wide end.

    Place on greased cookie sheet, 1 inch apart.

    Let these raise 2 hours or longer.

    Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes.
