- 1 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. boiling water
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cakes yeast
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 7 1/2 to 8 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Cream and blend together shortening and sugar, then add one cup boiling water and let cool.

2Then add eggs.

3Dissolve yeast into 1 cup lukewarm water and add to mixture.

4Sift together flour and salt.

5Add 4 cups to the mixture and blend thoroughly until the dough is smooth.

6Gradually add the balance of the flour. Place dough in a greased bowl.

7Brush with two tablespoons of melted butter.

8Cover tightly.

9Place in refrigerator; use as needed.

10When made into rolls, let dough rise for about 2 hours before baking.

11Bake at 450° for 15 to 20 minutes.
